Sorry of this is a duplicate post but it doesn’t appear my original post was saved to the forum.

My site is http://appletechtalk.com and I use Google AdSense to publish advertising on my site.

I was using the Google AdSense plugin whgich allowed my to select various areas on my pages that I wanted ads to appear. I could pick page locations for various page types and then paragraph locations for posts.

Google has now deprecated the plugin and I am using their QuickStart function. Quickstart places an add at the top of a page, randomly places an ad in the middle of a page and then places an ad below the footer (where it will probably never be seen). I would like to find a way to have more control over the ad placement. I have looked at several other plugins but as yet, have not found one that gives me the control I need.

I have reseached this on the Google AdSense support site and they said this is something I would have to work out with the theme developer.

My question is, is there a some code I can use that would give me more manual control over ad placements? First and foremost I would like to get the ad out of the footer but it would be great to be able to control the location of all ads. I know I can add an ad to the widget area but I would prefer not to do that as the sidebar is getting filled up with other things.

Any code or plugin suggestions would be appreciated.

@dschwartzer: One way is to make custom widget area before/after posts content and use that widget area to place the ads. You may find some appropriate plugins at wordpress.org/plugins.
Let me know if any problem.
Note: For customization, use child theme, as you’ll loose all the customizations on theme update.
You can find more details on creating child theme HERE. If you are not familiar with coding, I recommend you to hire a customizer.

    Regards,
    Mahesh
