    Hi,
    I’d like change the word “S C R O L L” in the homepage to be understand by my future readers who are french.
    I don’t find the file that I can modify to get this.

    Do you want to only translate the text Scroll or you have some other text to translate as well?

    Hello Skandha,
    excuse me for the delay !
    So there are 3 elements that I’d like to translate :
    – the text “Scroll” in the homepage
    – “by” in the header of article to introduce the author
    – “Recent post from the blog” in the header of the blog page

    @remi-lacroix: Hello Remi,
    To translate the strings Scroll and By you will need to create a child theme and do a little bit of customization. Let me know if you are familiar with child theme customization so that I can guide you.

    To edit the text From the blog
    Go to => Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Homepage/Frontpage Settings => Recent Posts Sub Heading => Edit the text and Publish.

    Let me know if this works out!

    Hi,
    thanks a lot Skandha for this answer.

    That’s ok for “from the blog”. I enabled the option to see and change the string and disabled it after.
    Then I created a child theme and I duplicated some files .php from parent theme folder to child theme folder with Filezilla to do a test.
    For instance, I modified “404.php” to translate the string “Oops…” in French. That’s OK.

    But I don’t find in which file I can modify “Scroll” and “by”. That’s maybe not so easy !
    Could you help me please ?

    @remi-lacroix: Hello Remi,
    To change the text Scroll in the homepage
    Copy the file inc/custom-header.php from parent theme folder to the child theme folder such that the file has the same path.

    Then, Edit the file and Search for the text Scroll and replace it with the text of your choice.

    To change the text By in posts
    Copy the file template-parts/content/content.php from parent theme folder to the child theme folder such that the file has the same path.

    Then, Edit the file and on line no 50 Edit the text By with the text of your choice.

    Let me know if this solves your issue.

    thanks a lot for these answers.
    It’s OK for the string “By” but not for the string “Scroll”. There is maybe an other modification to do ? I try again and then I’ll inform you.

    Hi Skandha,
    then, I think that the folder “Inc” of the child theme isn’t read. It’s the files of the parent theme witch are.
    I copied it to the child theme folder and modified custom-header.php : KO.
    I renamed custom-header.php in custom-header.old in the parent folder : site out of order
    I modified custom-header.php in the parent folder : OK for the string “Scroll”.
    So I’ve the solution even if it’s not the best 😉
