Hello,

The Catch Everest slider shows up just fine, but when I add the post ID and save nothing but the arrows to the slider show up. The photos from the posts I am trying to add are no where to be found.

@runningmedics and @Haleydanielsc1: Ok I am going to explain in detail. This Catch Box Free theme only have Featured Post Slider. This means you can only add in your posts as Featured Slider. You cannot use the Page.

1. First create the Post and don’t forget to add in the Featured Image in the post as this image is used in the slider. To add featured image see this http://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/#setting-a-featured-image

2. Then get the ID of the post. When you edit your post or write a post. you will see the id in your browser address bar. But if you cannot find it then you can use this plugin to view it http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/catch-ids/

3. Then go to “Appearance => Theme Options => Featured Post Slider”. Add in the post id.

But if you don’t want to use the post slider. Then I have good news for you as Catch Box Pro is in final testing phase and will be releasing any day in this week. Which has easy to user Featured Image Slider. Also you can use Featured Page Slider or Featured Category Slider.

I had the free version of simple catch, and the post sliders where working fine. Then one day they stopped, so I upgraded to the pro version and they still do not work. I have a featured image in the post from the bottom right corner,I have the post ID number in the post ID box under featured slider. The only thing that shows up is the dots on the bottom on the header if I do more then one post, but no image.

I been trying for hours with no success, I know I’m missing something but what?

@Nate: Did you add in Featured Images in those post.
How to add Featured Image in Posts:
1. Open the editor of the post/page where you want to display image, and locate the Featured Image module in the bottom right corner under Page Attributes. Click Choose a Featured Image.
2. Then you can either upload the image from your computer or select the existing image from your media library.
3. Then you can click on “Set Featured Image”. See the screenshot http://www.pinterest.com/pin/548594798329948788/

If you are having trouble with Featured Post Slider, then you can use Featured Image Slider. Read the theme instruction at http://catchthemes.com/theme-instructions/simple-catch-pro/

I tried both these procedures prior to emailing you, countless of times, still the same problem.

Here is the procedure:

Click on All post
Click on the post ” number 78″ for this example
Click on add media, to add image to post
I will choose the image for the post
I then click on, insert into post
Then I Click on set feature image, “bottom right corner” then media library reopens
I will choose the same image, as post image
Click set featured image
The feature image appears in feature image box, “bottom right corner”
Click update
View site, no image just bullets on the bottom of the header

This statement is a little confusing to me: You said

I don’t have a button that says Choose a featured Image

I have to upload a image from the add media button, to add a image to the post.

Am I missing something Here.

@Nate: Thanks for letting me check in. The trouble plugin was ‘ELI’s Related Posts Footer Links and Widget’ http://wordpress.org/plugins/spostarbust/. I just deactivated it and your slider is working fine.
