Until it is fixed you can temporarily roll the theme back to when the theme last worked by installing a plugin called WP Rollback. Then go to the Theme details and a new button will appear that says Rollback. Click that and it will give you list of all the previous versions. Pick your last working version and you should be good to go without having to switch themes everytime you need to edit or update something.

Hey you guys — I figured out a simple way to rollback your theme version. Go to plugins – click add new – and find a plugin called WP Rollback By Impress.org and install it and activate it. Then I backed up my entire site just in case (paranoid), went to the Theme, clicked details, and a new button appeared on the theme called ROLLBACK. Click that and it will list all the versions you can roll back to. I went to the previous version, clicked rollback again, WordPress reinstalled it, and it’s good to go. I won’t be updating to the new Catch Box until I’m pretty sure they have the kinks worked out for sure. Funny how the previous version of Catch Box is more compatible with the current version of WP than the 4.8.

Also wanted to say that I cleared my browser cache and my WordPress cache, and tried it on two separate browsers. This is definitely a Theme issue.

I’m having the same problem. Catch Box was the only update I did today and BOOM — I suddenly can’t add or edit any posts. It’s basically rendered my entire site useless. Please let us know what happened. Is there any way to roll back the update? I’d hate to have to spend hours re-designing with a new theme. I know it’s the theme because I just switched to another theme really quick and suddenly the post editor etc… is working again.
