I figured it out!

“If you want no clickable parent menu then why are you adding category as your parent menu. You cannot make page, post and category without link. You need to add custom link for that.

So, in your custom menu at “Appearance => Menus”, choose link and add # link and label as <span onClick=”return true”>Normteile</span>. Theme click on Add to menu. This will add # link in your menu. Then in menu, you can remove that # and leave empty. This will do the trick.”

@sakin Thanks that worked! The ID confused me. Once I put only the numbers in it worked. I am thinking about upgrading to pro. I read the homepage slider on pro has the option for an image slider. Can I have the image slider just be images with no pages/posts attached to it. So basically the images are just there scrolling?

I eventually will delete the featured posts below and just have the 3 posts repair paint clean in the slider.

I figured out the comments by going to discussion un checking allow comments, then for all my old posts/pages I had to go into the post/page editor, top right screen options, click discussion and then turn them off there.

Slider is still not working with my featured images on my posts
