@peterdroginformation-nu: Go to edit page or posts, on the top right, you’ll see Screen Options beside Help, click it and make sure Discussion is checked. Then scroll down below content to Discussion section and make sure that Allow comments option is unchecked. Repeat this of all pages with comments section. Let me know if any problem.

@fragino: You mentioned about departments. I guess categories will be used for that. And in that case, background color can be changed according to the category-class that each posts actually falls in. For pages, there won’t be such category and has to be taken care by its individual id. You won’t have to worry about how to add class or anything. Just after you put up you posts please share your site your and we’ll be happy to help you with the background color.

@fragino: Well, actually, the other won’t to add any class to the post and pages. It automatically generates it. The thing is, for CSS to change background accordingly, those classes are necessary.

The above problem is a server problem rather than the theme or WordPress. Please contact you server for allocating/increase the memory limit. Have you installed any plugins? Try disabling it and try with that too.
