March 31, 2014 at 7:17 pm in reply to: Footer menu not displaying at smaller browser size / mobile devices #23678jmb500MemberThanks Sakin didnt realise that was built in. However how can I get it to just display the footer menu as normal rather than the mini menu dropdown?
March 29, 2014 at 5:55 am in reply to: Footer menu not displaying at smaller browser size / mobile devices #23209jmb500Memberactually from what ive read i dont need to do that but can just add to my child style.css but im unsure what? I tried
@media only screen and (min-device-width : 768px) and (max-device-width : 1024px) and (orientation : portrait) { #footer-menu .menu { display: inherit; }
But it breaks the site’s other styles… im imagining this is something simple to solve to stop the media query from changing the menu to display:none but im not sure how…
March 29, 2014 at 5:29 am in reply to: Footer menu not displaying at smaller browser size / mobile devices #23206jmb500Memberi spoke a bit soo n there, it worked adjusting in firebug but im not familiar with enqueing scripts to get a child copy of responsive.css working. can you instruct?
March 29, 2014 at 5:13 am in reply to: Footer menu not displaying at smaller browser size / mobile devices #23200jmb500Memberok i found the media query in responsive.css so ive removed that in child theme and im happy with that
jmb500MemberCheers
jmb500MemberHi guys. Firstly it’s great to see recent discussion about this. Before I start implementing what look like comp[licated solutions, Sakin any eta on the theme fix? I’ve got Kathmandu and Evolution pro running.
Secondly I’m getting this problem trying to use Kathmandu’s Homepage Head/subheadline Text under Homepage Headline Options so I’m assuming it’s caused by the same issue outlined above?
jmb500Memberjust noticed it doesnt do it if i change to helvetica font family so is it a custom font problem?
jmb500Memberthanks in advance
jmb500MemberGreat! Thanks that did it.
That makes me think of another question regards the custom css field – Can I add the css code above into my child theme style.css instead? I’m just concerned when it’s in the custom css that it might get lost (I assume it would it get lost if I change theme?
Also, any way I can make menu buttons appear on right? I did find a way by moving the ul wrapper float to right but it puts the buttons in reverse order.
jmb500MemberOh! That’s a surprising answer I thought it would be something most would need to do in wordpress ok i’ll keep looking
jmb500MemberSorry Sakin, I should’ve replied sooner – I sorted it thanks, possibly by upgrading to pro im not sure.
Another question which im racking my brain over – must be obvious!? But how do i swap items around? say I want the sticky post ‘Hello’ above not below the slider as it is now? i know you can change dates on posts but the slider isn’t a post is it? at least it doesnt show up as one…
jmb500Memberp.s I’ve just gone to pro version but question still stands 🙂
