None of the translated pages are working now. It’s a large problem because a number of our big clients have been trying to access the site without any success.
How would I find out if it’s a plug in issue? Being honest, I have no idea. I believe that I’m using q-translate but I haven’t changed anything and it was working perfectly OK at the beginning.
I’m not sure what has happened in the last few months as I really haven’t been giving the website a lot of attention so haven’t been adding things at all.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions you may have
SteveParticipantThanks Pratik. I thought that is simply myself having such issues but it seems as though many of our current clients are having the same issue.
It ONLY occurs when the page is in Russian, not in English. Sometimes it works, other times it comes up that it’s not able to load it.
It’s really important that I solve this issue as now is the peak time for customers.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions
SteveParticipantHI Mahesh,
OK, thanks for the advice. I’ll have a look at setting this up, hopefully it’s not too difficult :))
Would I be able to disable posts on the homepage this way? Either way, I can always try & see how it looks & go from there.
Thanks!
Steve
SteveParticipantExcellent, thank you! A problem has arisen though 🙁
For some reason when I do this, the headline doesn’t get updated when switching between languages. Even though I do the CSS adjustments, on one page it’s a certain size & text while on the other it’s another.
I’ve had this problem before, but it’s always corrected itself. This time it seems as though it isn’t?
SteveParticipantHi Mahesh,
I actually have come across a followup question in regard to this. How would I go about changing the font size of my promotional headline? I gather it’s similar to the changing of colours but I wanted to check.
Thanks in advance :))

Option “Configuration Files” for plugin qTranslate‑X has been auto-adjusted after recent changes in the site configuration.
And:
There is already a language with the same Language Code!
It doesn’t change if I disable plugins 🙁

So I’ll upgrade to Pro to get the Promo stuff into two languages however I’m not sure about the default language. I changed it to Slovene in the setting with the correct language code etc. but it won’t allow me saying that my language code is already being used & in the end I have to used the German de.
Any ideas?

Is this WPML + Polylang plugin also connected to issues I’m having with languages constantly changing back from Slovene to German even though I continually change it to Slovene in the settings?
SteveParticipantThanks Mahesh. It seems as though the best option is for me to upgrade to Pro so I’ll do this asap. By upgading will I also be able to solve the following problem?
I want my ‘home page’ to have nothing down the bottom, however atm I have two options which is to keep it as home but have ‘posts’ there or set it as static meaning there’ll be another ‘page’ there. I have read that by upgrading to ‘Pro’ I can keep the theme as it is without any posts down the bottom. Is this true? Or is there another way I can do it anyway?
Thanks!
SteveParticipantBRILLIANT!! Thank you so much, love your work!
SteveParticipantHello again :))
I atttempted to put that logo info into CSS however nothing seemed to have happened. I put the below info in individually & seperately however I didn’t see any changes at all. No doubt I’ve done something really stupid with these codes, so I’m happy for it to be pointed out to me ;))
#masthead #site-logo img { max-height: 41px; / 41 / }
#masthead.fixed-header #site-logo img { max-height: 32px; / 32 / }
As for the text colour, I simply deactivated Elite accordian & presto! Thanks a lot!
Steve
SteveParticipantHey Mahesh,
I’ll get on this asap, thank you so so much.
I’ll keep you updated,
Steve
THANKS AGAIN!
