When setting up Woocommerce on my Gridalicious Pro (child) theme, I came across the following:
In the billing form, there is a required phone field. Unlike the other fields there, if you make it “unrequired”, the input field turns to a default box setting.
According to Mike Jolley (Woocommerce plugin author), this is probably caused by the theme not having defined the phone field ^^. Moreover, he suggests to contact the theme developers, so here I am 🙂

In my case I didn’t need this field at all, so I just disabled it, but I thought you’d like to know about this anyway.
Hopefully, you can add this for a future version!
