I am getting an update message for my Decree Pro theme. It will not install though because of a missing API key. Problem is that this key is requested from ‘ Elegant themes’, but my Decree Pro theme comes from Catch themes. Where do I find the rigfht API key to get the update running and how do I install/update this key in my WordPress theme?

You cannot update the Pro theme directly by just clicking the update button as in the free theme.
You’ll need to first download the theme from https://catchthemes.com/my-account/ page. Then install Catch Web Tools plugin and activate Catch Updater Module.

Hmm, how does this work when using a child theme?

@benderpc : You will need to update the parent theme only. Updating will not cause any problems to your website. Your changes within the child theme will retain.
