Hi Sakin, Re: Theme options panel. Ever since the 500 server error and 404 problem to your forum I have had issues with the Theme Options Panel.
1. tried to change the header font from Lobster to Dancing Script, no go. I get either the same or a blank.
2. tried changing pt size from 45 px to 60 px – no go
3. tried to omit type keyword – doesn’t do it.Maybe there are still some issues from the earlier 500 and 404 errors? At that time I could access the free version from wordpress but not the Pro. As these are upgrades in Pro, could you please check and see if I have complete access to the Pro upgrades?
Thanks, Karin
April 28, 2013 at 5:47 am #7930karinschultzMemberHi Sakin,
Update – Just managed to change scripts, but could not increase pt size of Dancing so went back to Lobster. Was able to increase to 60 pt which brings it in line with the tag line. Great so far. Also able to eliminate “keyword” from search box.There are only 3 things I would like to do finish off this page.
1. change the colour of the site name to 3ae59c – same as border colour
2. change colour of search button to 3ae59c – same as border colour
3. reduce the space between the tag line and menu – that is bring the site name and tag line closer to menu – line up tag line with bottom of the search box.Unless I’m blind, which could be, I don’t see 1 & 2 as an option under “Colour” in the theme options panel.
Thanks for your assistance on this. Karin

Home page for iwritegreatcopy.com.
1. spacing problem between menu and title, great.
2. colour changes – these have turned out green, so either there is a filter on this or maybe as these were shaded, perhaps that changed the colour? If you look at the page title Home Sweet Home, that is the colour I am aiming for. And its definately 3ea59c. So all these design elements should be the same colour.Any suggestions.
On the theme options. Will try this later today – just haven’t had a spare momment.
Thanks for your help.
KarinMay 2, 2013 at 12:06 am #8189karinschultzMemberHi Sakin, I’ve tried several different colours but they all come out the green, so there is a problem.
This is what’s in my custom CSS. Any suggestions? – Karin#access ul li a { padding: 0 23px; }
#access ul li:last-child { border-right: none;}
#access ul li:last-child a { padding: 0 20px 0 21px; }#main #content .wp-caption img { padding: 5px; }
.category .page-title { display: none; }
.single footer.entry-meta { display: none; }#header-content { margin-bottom: 0; }
#site-title a { color: #3ae59c; }
#sidebar-top { margin-bottom: 0; }
#branding .searchform button { width: auto; }
#branding .searchform button { background-color: #3ae59c; }.entry-meta ul li { background: none; }
.entry-meta .author, .entry-meta .last, .entry-meta span { display: none; }
.entry-meta .no-padding-left {display: none; }.entry-content img { border: none; }
.page .wp-caption .wp-caption-text { font-size: 12px; line-height: 14px; }
input[type=”email”] {
padding: 5px 10px;
-moz-box-shadow: 0 1px 5px #dcdcdc inset;
-webkit-box-shadow: 0 1px 5px #dcdcdc inset;
box-shadow: 0 1px 5px #dcdcdc inset;
border: 1px solid #cccccc;
height: 30px;
line-height: 20px;
width: 75%;
-webkit-appearance: none;

May 2, 2013 at 12:21 am #8196SakinKeymaster@karinschultz:
Where did your site got this color
#access ul li a:hover, #access ul li.current-menu-item a, #access ul li:hover > a { color: #dafcfa; }
Check your Custom CSS box or “Appearance => Theme Options => Color options” and check “Menu Hover & Active Text Color” change that color
May 2, 2013 at 3:06 am #8204karinschultzMemberHi Sakin, I am not talking about menu. That was okay as it was. What I wanted to change is the colour of the site title and the colour of the search button. Changing the active text colour to #3ae59c did not do anything except change the menu. The dafcfa refers to the menu text – need contrast here.
Here’s what I am trying to achieve:
1. menu background is the default grey, but the text is dafcfa – the grey gives a visual break between the site title and the content below.The site title and the search bar, I would like to have in the #3ae59c so that this stands out. If I leave this in grey then there is no contrast between the two graphic elements i.e. the menu and the copy above (title & search). I want to create a visual clue for readers to make the home page easier to read.
Now, there is no field for changing the colour of the site name in your Colour Options. I don’t know why as you have every other possibility. However, let me point out from a design perspective that the colour of the site title is important when creating a brand image.
So, are you saying that to change the site title and search bar, you have to change the menu to this same colour? In other words, menu, site title and search bar are by definition the “active text colour”? And if so, the custom CSS that you gave me earlier will not work?
If you can clarify this, it would be appreciated. Site is http://www.iwritegreatcopy.com.
Thanks, Karin
May 2, 2013 at 4:25 am #8208karinschultzMemberHi Sakin,
Just figured it out! Didn’t realize that you had a “hover” on the site name.
That would explain it. So, I changed the “hover menu” colour and it worked!The way you structured the colour options screen is not intuitive. Site name is not a menu. And, what active means, well that’s anyone’s guess. To save time and aggravation, t would be more helpful if the site title could have its own field.
Oh yes, in the Slider drop down menu its “Featured” not “Featued”. Sorry, the editor in me couldn’t resist!
All is well, home page looks great. Now onto the side bar!
Thanks for your help. Karin
