Hi,
I have to get rid of the plugin “Social Media feather”, because unlike advertised it slows down my site’s performance a lot.
I know that Catch Themes also has a social widget, but if you look at this page for example: travelintense.com/why-sailing you can see at the top of my sidebar, that the image quality of your icons is really bad (at least on a high resolution screen like many people have it today). Also, the grey is not very inviting. Is it possible you could update this and use icons similar to the ones from Social Media Feather or the ones you are using here in your forum on the top right underneath “Social Profiles”?
That would add a lot of value, and make your themes look more modern and fancy.
Thanks a lot for keeping me updated on this and all your help today,

I removed the CT social icons from the top of my right sidebar for now. But you can still see them at the bottom of the page in the right footer. Would be great if you could replace these with some really nicely designed and high-quality images.
Cheers,

I recommend you to use the Catch Web Tool’s Social Icons module. It includes the features you desired. The latest update is about to release soon. Please wait for the update. Thank you for your patience.

any news on the update of the social media icons? You mentioned in February that the release is going to happen soon, but I still can see the old, blurry icons on my page.
Cheers,

Thanks a lot for letting me know that there is a plugin I can use. Unfortunately, I don’t really think it’s what I’m looking for. Most of the tools it contains are either already covered in your “theme options”, or through some other plugins most people have installed. For example, your social widgets look the same like the Jetpack ones, but would add additional load time. A reason for me not to install it.
What I originally asked for was having a nice, sleek version of the links I can update under Appearance-> Theme Options -> Social Links. I like the fact that I can choose more here than on Jetpack (e.g., contact, rss, etc.), but the style is super outdated, gray and blurry when you are using a high resolution screen.
Could you please let me know if you intend to replace the icons in that section, as this would be everthing I (and probably many other people) need?
Thanks a lot,
MichaelaMay 18, 2016 at 5:37 pm #91909MaheshParticipant@micha: Sorry for the confusion. We have not planned for that change in the theme as this feature is included in our plugin. I do understand the problem you’ve mentioned above about using plugin.

Shouldn’t it be very easy to just replace the old-school looking icons which are part of your theme options? They really don’t do your great themes and design justice. It’s a great feature that you have them included in your theme options and makes you stand out from the crowd of theme designers, but the style needs an update! Would be great if you could do that.
Thanks a lot,
