    Hello,

I’m really disappointed … The skype function is not really activated on the “Catch Everest Premium”.

I don’t want to use a url (http://www.skype.com) but well a uri (skype:echo123?call), and the theme don’t accept this ! Could you modify this feature or give me a procedure to use this.

    Thanks

@Evocom: We just add the social icon to add it. For custom script for skype, you can add it though widgets in “Appearance => Widget” and use “Adspace Widget” or “Text Widget”.

    Hello Sakin,

I know this solution but it’s not the good one, because :

With this solution, Logo is not at the same place
With this solution, Logo has not the same look

Actually, your function “skype” in social link has no interest because there’s no official public page with Company Profil like Facebook / Youtube / Linkedin / Twitter / … !

I think, you can fix this situation effortless (5 minutes to change protection script) and authorise the uri code in place of url.

@Evocom: Do you mean you should be able to add link like the following
    <a title="Theme Review on Skype" href="skype:echo123?call">Theme Review Skype</a>

    Sakin,

I mean eable to call this link : skype:echo123?call
    In place of http://www.skype.com

But I think you can propose better for skype with 2 field :

    – Username : xxxxx
    – Dropdown menu with action : call or chat

And you transform this into : skype:xxxxx?call or skype:xxxxx?chat

@Evocom: So if i allow adding the either custom text field like skype:xxxxx?call and skype:xxxxx?chat or any text, then I don’t think I need to create dropdown menu with action. You can just add anything you want.

    Sakin,

Yes, this solution is very fine for me but I don’t think it’s a waste of time to make something more friendly for noob (a big part of your clients) …

Your product is really great because it’s easy for everybody and not just for guy like me, don’t you think ?

@Evocom: Yes but I suspect that dropdown will confused other uses using simple social icons. Thanks for your feedback. We will add this option in new version soon.

@Evocom: skype:echo123?call works on Catch Everest Pro 1.5.1. After you update your theme did you change the value in your theme options.

I’ve downloaded the zip file …
I’ve Uncompress and copy all files on the theme folder.
I’ve choose the “Overwrite” option on filezilla.

Message on the dashboard : “There is a new version of the catch-everest-pro theme available. You have version installed. Update to version 1.5.1 ”

When I go to Theme Options – Social Links – Predefine Social Icons

    I add skype:echo123?call
I push on Save Changes button
I reopen the Social Links – Predefine Social Icons but no informations appear on the field skype …

When I put http://www.test.com on Skype file, it’s work :-/
