Hi,I use the featured slider which is working well.

I use 4 pictures. However 2 of them show 4 sentences and 2 others just 3 sentences. This means the size of the box changes when the pictures with 4 sentences appear.

The pictures have the same length. Now only the number of sentences need to be equal. I think then the box doesn’t change size anymore. You can see the slider on http://www.worldcupbrazil.net.

So the question is how to reduce the 4 sentences to 3 sentences, like the 2 other pictures 🙂

@Joaozinho: It’s little difficult to control that as it contains Title and Excerpt Content. You can control excerpt content of overall site from “Appearance => Theme Options => Excerpt/More Tag Settings” and change the excerpt length. You can also control for individual post from your “Excerpt Box” in your edit post. See this screenshot http://www.pinterest.com/pin/548594798330200958/ if you cannot find the excerpt box.

When I click on screen options, I don’t see excerpt in the list of options. Is that only visible in the updated version of the theme? Is that the only way to modify the slider text? I understood with the featured slider you can modify the text yourself as well.

@Joaozinho: Excerpt is the default function of WordPress and has nothing to do with theme version. Yes, excerpt box allows you to add your custom text otherwise you need to use Featured Image Slider.

How come I cant find excerpt in screen options? Is this only available in WordPress 3.8?

@Joaozinho: You will see that on “Screen Options” when you edit/create post. Not on other section.

I understand now, this is only possible in posts.

Exist a way to change the text yourself for pages? When I change the excerpt length in Theme options, 2 photos still have 4 sentences and 2 other photos only 3 sentences.

Is there a way to solve this?

@Joaozinho: If you are concerned about the text a lot then please use Featured Image Slider where you can add content as per your need. No need to get it auto. You can add it manually all text, image and links as per your need.
