Hi,

First of all thank you for solving my other problem regarding having different posts appear on my homepage than in my blog. Your solution worked like a charm. Again, I am not very WordPress savvy and I don’t know PHP, but is there a way to take the ARCHIVE CATEGORIES: BLOG out of the top of the Blog? My website address is http://www.michaelhiebert.com

Remembering that I am pretty new to this, I have what is probably a stupid question. I am trying to use shortcodes that I found in another page that I am quite sure are supposed to work for Evolution (Do you have a complete list of Shortcodes?), and they aren’t working. Do I have to “enable” them somehow? I have some plugins that use shortcodes and they seem to work just fine. What am I doing wrong? Again, I apologize if this is a stupid question.

One other question: is there a way to show the thumbnail of a featured image along with the excerpt from certain pages one another page? I am an author and I would like to make “book pages” for all my books and have one page that lists the excerpts from those pages to access them.

Thank you in advance for your time. I really like Evolution Pro. I think it’s an awesome theme. Now if I could just get the last two things working, I will be ecstatic. Sorry for firing three questions at you at once.

@Michael:
1. What do you mean by removing blog out of category. If you don’t want then you can remove that category.
2. We don’t have any defined shortcode in Catch Evolution theme. So, I don’t understand what are you trying to add in. Maybe you are using shortcode from plugin.
3. Your author archive is there, see this http://www.michaelhiebert.com/author/Michael/. Also you can add post in Book category and then list that category page. For example this one http://www.michaelhiebert.com/category/blog/guest-posts/
