Dear Mahesh:
I am not fully satisfied with excerpts beeing cut off after a prefixed number of words.
Neither with writing the desired lenght of the excerpt manually.
Unfortunately, the more-tag doesn’t work properly: it cuts off the text but without filling in the necessary link
to the full-text page.
Any solution available for using the more-tag as originally shown in the WP-codex?

@wolpertinger: The excerpt is working fine. The thing you need to consider here is, you have to select one whether you want to use the Full Content or the Excerpt. If you want to use more tag within the content, please use Full Content. And if you want to use manual excerpt, use excerpt in Archive Content Layout option. Do not use both.
