Hello,
Two or three years ago, I bought Euphony Pro.
Today I am asked to “renew my licence”, and pay another $59,99.
I don’t find anywhere on the product page that this is a temporary licence that I have to buy again, nor did I find this information two years ago.
I thought that I bought an unlimited licence, and today feel kinda scammed over this.

Please read our terms and conditions where it is clearly mentioned that the theme comes with initial 1-year subscription which means after one year will have to renew your subscription. If you do not wish to renew the subscription you can still use the theme but you won’t be able to update the theme to newer versions.

I had the same question. It is very deceiving since it clearly states in my receipt, “Audioman Pro (Theme Usage for Lifetime and Update for 1 year)”. NOWHERE does it say in the purchasing process that I will be automatically charged each year. I got no warning either that I was about to be charged. I bought this theme for a client website, and now I have to go back to them and tell them this is an added cost for them every year, and of course I have to change the credit card info. I suggest if you want to keep your customers, and especially keep them happy, that you make this abundantly clear in the purchasing process.

Do you mean that after the expiry of your subscription the theme subscription got automatically renewed and the amount was deducted from your credit card?

I just noticed that my license is only valid for a year and that lead me to this conversation.

Skandha, please respond with an answer to whether or no the license is renewed automatically. I also don’t want any surprise bills to renew a theme that I too thought I had bought outright.

I have read your terms and conditions and agree with imajons that this particular policy should be more visible than it is now. Hiding information like this within a tiny “Terms and Conditions” link is not transparent and is bad business practise.

Please answer my above question as I am considering asking for a refund on my purchase.

Hi Gregory,

The license key will not renew automatically. We don’t have that service yet. So, after a year if you want to renew it, you need to renew it manually. We will just notify you when it’s about to expire.

This license key is used for updates from the WordPress dashboard. So, if you don’t renew it you will be using the last updated version of the theme and it will still work.
