I wrote to you 7 months ago and you replied, however, I was unable to reply to you to let you know that your suggestion failed because you closed the topic.

7 months later, after all the updates, I still have nowhere to change the title from IN THE NEWS to anything else (ie feedback or testimonials) unless I hack the code directly. While this is a temporary fix, it obviously changes back to IN THE NEWS whenever there is an update.

I need a proper resolve please… and please don’t fob me off or close this topic before I’ve had the chance to confirm your suggestions.

Hello @dg,

Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

To change the title “In The New”, please go to “Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Testimonials”, you will find the “Select Type” option, under the option you will have other options like post/page/category/custom…etc. Please choose anyone from post/page/category/custom, you will get a Headline option, change the title and click on the “Publish” button at the top.

I’ve attached a screenshot as well. Please check.

I have Custom Post Type already selected so that I can add each individual testimonial to be able to achieve the aesthetic I currently have.

If  I change it to type “post” it doesn’t give me any options to add any of the 29 testimonials other than just showing the word ‘select’ in 29 inputs… with nothing there to be selected.  This would also change the aesthetic.

edit: there is no input area in the Custom Post Type set up to add a title.

Hello @dg,

There was an issue which I’ve fixed in the theme. Please update your theme once you get an update notification. After that please follow the instruction below:

1. After choosing custom post type you will see – For CPT heading and sub-heading, go here(with a link) with bold letters.

2. click on here(with a link), you will be redirected to the place where you can put Title and content. If the link doesn’t work, then you need to follow the instruction 3.

3. If the link doesn’t work, you need to install our official plugin named: Essential Content Types. here is the link:

4. After installing, just activate the plugin and refresh the customizer page and the link will be clickable and you will be able to change title and content for the testimonials section.

Hi Sujeet ,

I actually already have the options available and have had ‘feedback’ in the CPT (archive page names) settings the entire time.  Essential Content Types plugin already installed.  All themes and plugins up to date.  No joy so far, unfortunately.
