Hi,

i use the free edition and try to activate the included german localization file. My dashboard runs in german but how do i get the theme to use the de_DE.mo/po files?

@glimburg: If you are using “Catch Box” Theme then you can just use that theme.

@mrblista: See this for detail tutorial http://wp.tutsplus.com/tutorials/theme-development/translating-your-theme/ . In this tutorial you don’t need to make our theme translation ready. We have already don’t it and added a file simple-catch-pro.pot file. You just need to create de_DE.mo and de_DE.po file through http://www.poedit.net/

has someone made a german translation yet ?

when i use poedit, what happen when i left some lines empty in the translation ?

@thorsten: if some lines empty then those text will not be translated. You can just translate the text you want and then save it. It will work fine.

I have edited the pot.file and renamed them sv_SE.mo  (swedish activated and working in wordpress general)  But it seems my simple catch pro theme refuses to read them. Cache cleared, and editing simplecatch_functions.php works. Any ideas?

@svartis: Did you check the instruction here http://wp.tutsplus.com/tutorials/theme-development/translating-your-theme/ . You are not going to create .pot file. You just need to create the .mo and .po files.

@Sakin   Yes, I opened the .pot file, made my translation and saved as sv_SE.po

Maybe there is an emailaddress I can send my file and you can check if I have made it correct? I have pro version.
