Hi.

After I updated the theme the featured slider disappeared. I’ve checked with 3 different browsers and 2 on my phone and it’s gone in all cases. Instead it just shows a “1”. http://www.liberatingthespirit.com

Any idea what’s causing this?

Strange issue. The slider is working fine in our servers.

There can be different reasons for this.

First, it looks to be a plugin conflict, so follow this post to see if there is a culprit plugin: https://catchthemes.com/wordpress-tutorials/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts-with-our-themes/.

I tried taking a look at your site and there is some minification plugin. It can cause the issue. I want to know what is the theme version you are using.

I’ve tried to disable all the plugins but that didn’t change anything.

Yes I do have a minify plugin, but I disabled that as well and it didn’t fix it.

I’m running theme version 3.9.1.

Can you let me know what are the settings saved in Appearance=> Customize=> Featured Slider=> Slider Options?

I want to use the same setup in mine to replicate the issue.

Homepage
Fade

Post Slider

“Unchecked”
“Unchecked”

If I revert back to 3.8.1 the problem disappear. It happens when I upgrade to either 3.9 or 3.9.1.

I have found the bug and submitted the fix. It should be available to you soon. Let me know if version 3.9.2 fixes the issue or not.
