Hi there,
I’m using Rock Star Free. The Featured Slider seems to crash/fail to load images every few days. The website will show the dots (normally) at the bottom, but no images. I have to go into theme customizer and reset the Featured Slider. Then it works fine for a few days…
Any idea what might be causing this?

Thanks!

Every time I check your site the slider seems to be working fine. Do you get any message when the slider crashes?Kind Regards,

It’s down again now. I won’t touch it, so you get a chance to see it.
No I don’t get a message (except from my bandmates telling me it’s down… again…)Thanks,

Can you try deactivating Jetpack plugin and see if the issue is resolved?Kind Regards,
SkandhaJanuary 6, 2020 at 12:54 am #231929startmeuprsParticipant@Skandha
OK, done. The slider is up and running again. Let’s see how long it lasts…Thanks!
SeanJanuary 6, 2020 at 1:43 am #231931SkandhaParticipant@startmeuprs: Hello Sean,
This might be due to the Lazy Images module of Jetpack Plugin.
Can you try activating Jetpack and only disable that particular module?Let me know if this resolves your issue.
Kind Regards,
SkandhaJanuary 13, 2020 at 8:15 am #232686startmeuprsParticipant@shandha So far so good! Looks like it was Jetpack. We haven’t activated Jetpack through WordPress.com yet, so I haven’t gone in and disabled the Lazy Images module. When that time comes, I’ll be sure to do that.
Thanks again!

Your review will help others know what to expect when they’re looking for the support I offer. Even a sentence or two would be hugely
appreciated. Thanks, and if there’s anything else at all that I can do to help, don’t hesitate to let me know. Have a good day! 🙂Kind Regards,
SkandhaJanuary 28, 2020 at 6:42 pm #234312startmeuprsParticipantIt’s at it again. Same issue. This time, it appears to be fixed by simply logging into the WP site instance. Why does this keep happening? Shouldn’t it continue to run without me needing to log in every couple of days?
Thanks for the the support!

.

SkandhaApril 1, 2020 at 1:03 pm #241021startmeuprsParticipantHi @Skandha,
Sorry for the delay. (My day gig is in the cruise industry, so… yeah…)
I hope you’re staying safe and healthy!I’ve reduced the file sizes (the sliders we all 1.5MB each – rather large for a website), and I reuploaded them Monday morning. As of this morning, it was broken again.
Got any other ideas?Thanks,
