I’ve just started setting up a new website to replace an older site.  I set a featured image for my static home page (Focus Your Vision) on my new site http://questusstrategies.com/wordpress/ but the image does not appear.  The image size is set to 644px X 320px, which I have downloaded and saved.  Featured Image is checked in the Screen Options and the image appears in the Featured Image section in the Edit Page screen, but does not show when I preview the page.  What am I missing?

@rsolosky: Featured Image are used in Catch Box theme for featured post slider and when you are set the blog to “Show excerpt” in Content Layout from “Appearance => Theme Options”. It will not show in “Show full content” mode.

I’m having the same issue.  When I go to “Appearance->Theme Options”  I only have “Default Content” option to choose and no where in there does it say anything about “Show full content” or “show excerpt”.  I am using the simple catch lite version, do I need to go to the pro version for this to work?

In Appearance > Theme Options > Content – Regardless of whether layout is set to “Show excerpt” or “Show full content”  no Featured Image appears on the page.

The answer to this question will help me decide whether I purchase an upgraded theme.  Thank you in advance for your prompt reply.

@rsolosky: It’s not the matter of purchasing the upgrade. We treat equal for all our free and premium customer. So, it doesn’t matter with the purchase of upgrade.

Where you are talking about the Featured Image not displaying. Are you talking for single page and single post then this theme doesn’t have support for this. But if you are talking about Homepage Archive or Category Archive then it will display.

Thank you for your prompt reply.  I am currently set to use the Catch Box theme.  I’m happy to move my questions to another forum if that is better.

I like the Catch Box theme because it is simple and straight forward and it easily allows me to drop my logo image into the header area with the header image feature.  My other requirement is to have an engagement area that will allow me to feature various images scrolling/sliding to convey several marketing messages.  I thought the featured image function on my static home page labeled Focus Your Vision would allow me to do that.

If there is a better theme to use, I’m happy to switch.  Once again my site is currently questusstrategies.com/wordpress/  Any help you can offer is appreciated.  Looking through the thousands of available themes is time consuming.

@rsolosky: Sorry but Catch Box Theme doesn’t have Featured Image for individual page and individual post. Can you try with our new them Catch Everest, which has featured image option.
