Hi,
I just installed the free Helena theme, and I’ve gotten pretty far into working with it, but when I tried to put my page content into the Featured Content section it didn’t work. By didn’t work I mean the title and text beneath it updated but the page content and images never loaded. After trying to save it and go back and edit the customization menu disappeared. It left me with the option to disable and enable it, but enabling it doesn’t load anything.
I’ve added a few edits to the css, mostly changing the link hover colors and removing the titles and content from the slider images.
Any help would be appreciated. I really like the theme and would consider buying the pro version if I can get everything I like about it to work.
Thank you.

My url is http://www.kriskyria.com. I’ve reloaded the theme from scratch and the content reappears until I try to add my own and then I’m either left with the default content, or to disable the featured contact section. Thank you for your time.

Then select Featured Page Content in Select Content Type option. Some options will slide down, then select desired pages in Featured Page # dropdown and click Save & Publish. Hope this helps. Let me know if any problem.

Thank you, but I understand how to edit it. The problem is when I attempt to edit it the entire section disappears. When I try to add my own content and save it, the options to change it disappear and I’m only left with the choice of the default content or to disable it.

Hopefully this will help explain what I’m experiencing. As you can see I can select my own content, but it doesn’t change on the page, and I can’t edit anything. All the options for selecting pages disappeared.
Thanks,

And have you modified the theme? Please try installing the fresh copy of the latest version of the theme and try again. Let me know further if the problem persists.

This first occurred on a clean install with no pluggins. The only pluggins I have active at this moment are instagram, shopify buy buttons and woocommerce. I have since reinstalled the theme several times and it would return to the default, but again as I would attempt to add my own content I would have this problem. My only changes to the code have been in the CSS regarding link colors and removing page titles from two areas, nothing that should affect the ability of theme to adjust content.
January 3, 2017 at 10:12 pm #106374kriskyriaParticipantAfter saving it with “feature page content” selected every area below “featured content” on the homepage disappeared. Also when I went back to the menu I had even less options.
Maybe you can refer me to where the featured content code is stored so I can ensure my css didn’t cause any issues, but this seems like a php function code being affected and I haven’t touched that, nor should any of my active pluggins.
Thank you for your time and prompt responses.
