Is it possible to add image size options to the theme? For example, the thumbnail is set at 150×150, but we have certain images we want that size to be 300×150. So we want to keep the current thumbnail setting but add something called thumb-long that will give us another choice for sizes.

Alternative, is it possible to modify sizes of individual images on a page. For example, if the large size of the image is 400×600 but we want to make one image show as 300×500 – how can we do it?

@Kathy: I am bit confused. Are you talking about custom image that you are trying to insert in your page/post? Then for that WordPress uses the Thumbnail, Medium and Large Size get in “Media => Settings”. So, just change that sizes and Regenerate the thumbnail using Regenerate Thumbnail plugin.

Thanks for the quick response. I think what I am trying to say is that I would like more options for image sizing than just Thumbnail, Medium and Large sizes.

@Kathy: No there is only 3 sizes and if you want different size then you can insert as Full Image so it will load your original image.
