Is there any way to change the copyright notice without directly editing footer.php? It currently includes the current year, which is simply wrong for any blog that began before 2012. It is best to claim copyright from the earliest date possible and would be better if it simply said ‘as dated’ as each post is clearly dated. It also says ‘all rights reserved’, when some users may wish to use a Creative Commons licence or may simply not want to claim copyright. Finally, it claims copyright in the name of the blog when the author may wish to claim copyright in their own or another name.
