I’ve just downloaded the file 3.8 to update my existing installation on http://www.stichel-online.de.

After reading your installation instructions through the Update plugin i’m hesitating to do so since my installation will be overwritten. Since i spent a lot of time to get it as it is i wonder if all settings and the whole layout will be saved and i do not have to start the configuration from the beginning after the update to 3.8.

@mwstichel: Yes, you can update without any doubt. All setting will be preserved as they are. But if you have customized the theme core files, those will be lost. Settings won’t be affected.
