Hi,

Thanks for your free Catch-box theme ! Everything works fine, except the translation.

I found the French translation files in the catch-box/language/ folder. Two problems :

1 – some texts remain in English although a French equivalent is provided in the fr_FR.po file

–> can’t figure out why only some parts of the translation file are taken into account.

2 – I tried changing French translations in the fr_FR.po file, just to see if the changes are taken into account, but my changes are not displayed on the site –> why ? (say I wrote “pas de commentaire” instead of “aucun commentaire”).

Can you please help ?

@cmils: This translation is done though users like you all as we don’t know french language. Yes, you can help us translate it more by generating .po and .mo file through http://www.poedit.net/ apps.

My concern is not to get or make a translation, but to have the existing one work. I’ve download the translation files (fr_FR.po/mo), but some expressions are still displayed in English although they are referenced in the translation file –> can you help with this particular problem ?

@cmils: Can you use that software and update the the language file and then it will correct it if there is any mistakes. Also always use the latest version. IF you are using older version of Catch Box theme then you might have problems.
