I activated the image slider and choosed pages to display.

Problem: The text of the pages is displayed above the image in the slider. This kills the image and the text is not readable.

I find no way to deactivate the text excerpt in the image slider.

This drives me completely nuts, because I can not understand this default setting. Who needs this?

I have a hard time to understand why the slider can only display pages – but ok! Other template I use I can choose my images and define a link to a page or post. That makes sense.

But in which image slider on the whole internet does text overlay the images???

Am I nuts or just to stupid to find the deactivation?

Any help would be realy appreciated!!! I’m in troubles and lost a day.

@Ralf_St: Looks like you are using “Featured Page Slider” in Catch Base Free theme. Which uses page title, excerpt and featured image. To hide that text, you can add the following css in “Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Custom CSS Options” box:
#feature-slider .entry-container { display: none; }

Featured Image slider option is there only in Pro version. So, try adding above css to hide that text.

@Ralf_St: That’s nice, thanks. That css also hide your text. But if you want independent image slider then only you need to update to pro version. You can see the list of additional features and it’s instructions at http://catchthemes.com/theme-instructions/catch-base-pro/

Hello, I am also using “Featured Page Slider” in Catch Base Free theme – everything works fine but the slider stops at final slide rather than looping back to the beginning. I can’t find any control for this – is there some code I can add in?

I am seeing the same problem as @NickBallDesign: the featured page slider on my home page (currently under development) is getting to the last slide, then stopping. Can you advise a fix?

@brianmor: Ok but the problem is that the slider is sliding fine in our server. You can check at http://catchthemes.com/demo/catch-base/. This issue is specific to your server. So, I need to check in your site URL. If it’s under development and if you can give me access then I can send you email.

Thanks, @Sakin. I can see the slider is behaving properly in your demo. However, if I Select Slider Type = Demo Featured Slider in my WordPress control panel, it also shows the slide then stop problem.
