Hi
I am a user of the Kathmandu Pro Theme. I love the idea of changing fonts easily at the theme option. However, my website is built mainly for people reading traditional chinese. Thus, google fonts could not match my needs.
I want to add fonts in the option of fonts family, such as microsoft jhenghei which can display correctly in windows OS, . Could you teach me how to do that?
Another font, more difficult to add I think, is Noto Sans CJK TC (in google), or Source Han Sans(in adobe). This could not be displayed at windows OS. But it is an open-source font. If I want to use the font in my website, should I upload the whole .ttf to the host? If I did, could I manage the font by the theme option?
I know microsoft jhenghei is the easier one to do it. So please help me with that one first…
Thank you very Much!
@Camel1021: If you want to use external font which is not google font then first you need to build child theme. Then you can generate that font from http://www.fontsquirrel.com/tools/webfont-generator and then embed it using Font Face. See this http://css-tricks.com/snippets/css/using-font-face/
Also you might want to try plugin for font. That will be easy. Check this https://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=font
Hi,
and how we can do to add a google font (rum raisin for example) ?
Thanks
@Guillaume: You can add Google Font plugin and then add that font.
