I have been using this theme on a website for a couple of years and it’s been great. The website is working properly, but I can’t access the theme inside WordPress. I am getting a 500 error when I click any of the customization options in the dashboard. Is anyone else having this problem?

    Hi @webitseo,

Can you try disabling the plugins one by one to see if the options load?

Ahhh. I’ve been using iThemes security for a long time, with no problems. The other day I installed Mailchimp by ibericode. If I deactivate one or the other, Catch Customize doesn’t work. But if I deactivate iThemes and Mailchimp at the same time, then Customize does work! So, is it ok to just deactivate them when I need to customize and then turn them on again? If so, that’s fine. Would it cause any problems to do that? I don’t know if it would cause any problems on the backend.

Thanks for the suggestion. I should have thought of that, as I do know that deactivating plugins is usually the first port of call for troubleshooting. I just wasn’t thinking.

    Hi @Websitseo,

I do not think it would cause any problems. But the customizer not loading must be an issue with the plugin. Can you try and see if this happens with default twenty-x themes as well?
