Sakin thanks for all your help, you were right it did take time for the description to update. However after scraping it again I got the following errors.

Circular Redirect Path Circular redirect path detected (see ‘Redirect Path’ section for details).

Also although the description has been updated the default slider is being displayed. Here is the message….

og:image was not defined, could not be downloaded or was not big enough. Please define a chosen image using the og:image metatag, and use an image that’s at least 200x200px and is accessible from Facebook. Image ‘websitename/blog/wp-content/themes/catch-kathmandu/images/demo/kathmandu-durbar-square-1280×600.jpg’ will be used instead.

Any more help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks I just got done watching the video and adding my own content to the slider along with text. I still have an issue with default slider and image text showing up when I post the link to the main page on FB. But if I post say the about page then just the single image shows up with my own text in the description. I have followed the adivce I found on similar threads of deleting the CACH and editing the description with YOST, however none of this has worked.

Another update, I found this video on making posts with featured images, this works on all other pages except the home page. Again I have cleared all cache’s using YOST but I still get the default description and slider images when I post the home page in FB. However if I post another page on FB I will only get the featured image with my text.

Update:

I tried the fix that was suggested on another thread. Edited the description using Yost SEO tool, in both social media section as well as Title\Meta’s, but I am still having the same issue.
