    I have managed to do it by changing

    img.alignleft, img.alignright, img.aligncenter {
    margin-bottom: 1.625em;
    }

    to

    img.alignleft, img.alignright, img.aligncenter {
    margin-bottom: 0.625em;
    }

    in my child theme.

    I see how its done. The problem is when there is not enough text. Its causes the Text below, which is for another image to be bulled up.

    when I create a new post the new post no-longer appears on my front page.
    It used too.

    I have Settings>Reading set to “Front page displays” > your latest post.

    I have had to edit the image size to 976×313 in photoshop as the featured image slider would not edit the picture to 976×313.

    Is the featured image size only editable when connected to a post? I’ve read that displaying a image NOT connected to a post will display at its original size.

    and

    should “featured slider/slider options” “enable side bar” be “enable slider”
