Oh maybe I have more than one problem. I replaced the code as you suggested (thank you!) but still the cloud tags and “Grab the Pop Corn” widgets are showing up under the Feng Shui catalog in Footer area 1 and not in Footer area 3. I must be doing something wrong somewhere….
Jan DeelstraMemberThat did it Sakin! Thanks for the quick and accurate code!
Jan DeelstraMemberHmm, I attempted to copy paste the CSS and instead when I paste this is all I get: http://www.jandeelstra.com/ I have double checked to see the size of my headers and they are all around 1600 x 400 px. Still have that unsightly gap above the headers and below the menu bar. Here’s a good example where the delineation is obvious. http://www.jandeelstra.com/theyre-bringing-the-straitjacket-for-me-time-sensitive/
Jan DeelstraMemberOr this one: http://www.jandeelstra.com/queens-dozen/
Between the menu and the header that space seems silly and wasteful. 🙂Jan DeelstraMemberhttp://www.jandeelstra.com/is-this-you/ This page is a good example of what I’m trying to do. Above the purple header is an inch or so of white space. I posted your code in the custom css but the white strip band is still appearing.
Jan DeelstraMemberNo. That’s how it SHOULD work. But it’s not working that way. I am going to turn off ALL my plugins and start over. I’ll keep you posted. Thanks Sakin.
Jan DeelstraMemberThere is definitely something off. In the visibility settings, when I say “HIDE” if page is BLOG, the subscribe widget shows up. When I say “SHOW” if Page is BLOG or POST it disappears. It’s as if the settings are opposite of what they should be. That would all be fine if only I could figure out how to have the newsletter subscribe show on the HOME page and the blog subscribe show only on the BLOG or POST pages. But when I think it’s figured out, I save it and it falls apart again and both appear on all pages….
I wonder if I need to remove all plugins and see what happens and then add them in one at a time…. Oye vey. I really need to go back to school. ITT. 🙁Jan DeelstraMemberListen, it’s all good, Sakin. I’ll just have the pesky little widgets show up on all the pages. It’s not worth any stress. I just won’t use the “Manage in Customizer” function. And as for the video not being centered, that too is not worth investing a lot of effort in. I’ll let it be where it wants to be.
Thanks Sakin.Jan DeelstraMemberhttp://www.jandeelstra.com/50-days-to-empowerment-bootcamp/ is the page where the video is.
As for the widgets, I know how to go to widgets and manage them. But when I use the “Manage in Customizer” the BLOG SUBSCRIBE doesn’t show up. Nor do several others that I have attempted to use the “Customizer” for. When I utiize the “Visibility” function and direct a widget to ONLY be visible on the BLOG page as example, it does not appear on that BLOG page. Maybe it’s a conflict with a plugin.Jan DeelstraMemberYou are SOO my hero! Days of pulling out my hair could have been avoided if only I had found you first! Thank you! I had clicked on that “post slider” and then I just forgot that I had done so. Whew. Don’t know if I will ever try again to enable that feature! Maybe when I’m ready to learn some new CSS lessons! Thank YOU!
