hy again,
i´ve a little problem with the sidebars. Each Page, like Post, Blog and Archive? have their one unique Sidebar, is that right? and for all others we have otpional 1-3 sidebars. ok. so my problem is, that i want the same sidebar for Post, Blog and Archive. they have a default one, or i can choose between optional sidbar 1-3. But no i did a new sidebar for optional sidebar one to activate this on each Page in Sidebar Options. But nothing changes.
Is the default sidebar always active? and no possibility to choose e.g. optional sidebar one?
it´s a little bit wierd…
maybe there´s a easy way, but i don´t know..
thanks
sebFebruary 5, 2014 at 11:01 pm #20039SakinKeymaster@Sebastian: the default sidebar is the Main Sidebar. You can choose optional sidebar 1 to 3 only for pages and post. But you cannot use that for Archive or Blog pages. For archive, you can either use optional archive sidebar or it will load default main sidebar.
February 5, 2014 at 11:39 pm #20043SebastianMemberright, good to know…so if i like just one sidebar 4all…then i have to create more than one. one (optional archive sidebar) for blog and archive and another one, for example, optional sidebar one for pages and posts. that should cover everything? sooner or later i think i need more than that, but for now its good with one 4 all.
thanks

This module will add option in your widgets to show only on specific page. So, you can just use the Main Sidebar and then assign each widget for different pages.
When you activate the “Jeetpack” plugin, make sure you have deactivated “Mobile Theme” module as this module conflict with Responsive Design.

February 6, 2014 at 7:25 pm #20060SebastianMemberit´s no problem i do a few sidbars. But before i like to understand how it works.
Main Sidebar is for? every page/post/archive…?
Default Sidebar is not always Main Sidbar, isn´t it?
Default Sidebar can be Optional Archive Sidebar/ Page Sidebar/Post Sidebar?February 7, 2014 at 1:27 am #20072SakinKeymaster@Sebastian: Yes, your main sidebar is your default sidebar. If you haven’t added any widget in other sidebar, then it will load your main sidebar. But if you have added widget in archive sidebar then your archive page will load archive sidebar and so on.
