Hi,
I want to display the logo’s of our sponsors in the above footer area. If I use widgets for this goal I get three pictures in vertical position.
I am looking for a possibility to show the pictures of logo in the before footer area in horizontal sequence. This is, because I want to give them all three a separate link to their own page.
Now I made one picture with three sponsors and it is not possible to add a link to the logo’s.
Is there a solution for this?Lind regards

How about adding those logo as “Featured Content”. Just go to “Appearance => Customize => Featured Content” and in “Enable Featured Content on”, you can enable it either Entire Site or Homepage. Then, since you want 3 images, just select “3 Columns” in Select Featured Content Layout option and in “Select Content Type”, select “Custom or Image” and then add image and link as per your need.

I already side the featured content. That works fine. What I want is to place three pictures of our sponsors with a link just above the footer i.el between the featured image and the footer.
I also used the footer space.
So I think I need to use the above footer widget. And that seems not to be possible in the way I want.
The url is: Hagmeijer.nlKind regards

After looking at site. I know I can see what are you trying to achieve it. So, yes “Before footer” is the best widget area to add widget. But can you use “CT: Gallery Image” widget, where you can change the layout to “3 Column” and No. of Items: to “3” and then add image url, link, title and content as per your need.

November 12, 2018 at 9:11 am #159081HansParticipantHi Sakin,
I trein, but I did not succeed. I try to explain what I have done.
Selected the widget ct: Gallery Images. I added id in the widget area: after content.
1 column for trying
no of items 1
then I wanted to add an image
I named image 1: title
For the url of the image I went to the library of images
I searched one and placed the shortened url in ” Url of image”
After that I copied the permalink and copied into: “Link of image”
After that I clicked on “save”
The last thing I did was looking to the result:
I only saw the title of the image and a question mark on the place of the image. Can you learn me what I have done wrong.
Kind regards

You can change the background color as per your need in the following css and then add it in “Appearance => Customize => Additional CSS” box:
.site-footer .sidebar-before-footer { background-color: #000; }
Thanks for your appreciation and if you like my support and theme then you can support us by providing your review and rating at https://wordpress.org/support/theme/lucida/reviews/?filter=5

November 17, 2018 at 3:12 pm #159502HansParticipantHi Sakin,
If I add a link to one of the pictures in CT:gallery, I see a black square with a red dot in the middle in a layer above the picture. Is it possible to remove that black square?
Kind regards

November 17, 2018 at 3:19 pm #159503HansParticipantHi Sakin,
And another little problem. I tried to explain.
The picture above the footer are the logo’s of our sponsors. If a visitor clicks the link, the website of the sponsor is opened but not in a new tab/window. Is it possible to fix this?

November 18, 2018 at 1:37 am #159535SakinKeymasterHi Hans,
1. You can remove the background and box shadow by adding the following css:
.ctgallerypostpageimage .hentry:hover .entry-container { background-color: transparent; box-shadow: none; }
2. To open in new window, you can check in that widget it has option “Check to Open Link in new Tab/Window”. Just check that and save it.
But if you don’t want that black hover box and all then please replace that widget with “CT: Featured Images”. This suits your need more.

When you look at Hagmeijer.nl you will see that it works for 90%. There is still a light gray shadow when you hover. And although I clicked on the possibility to open in a new window, this is not what happens. Can you look at this please. No hurry.Kind regards
