I have a static page in which I would like my homepage to show 2 of the most recent posts. I would do this by categorizing them as “showonfrontpage”.

Settings in Customize – Homepage settings are
Homepage Displays: Static, Homepage: About, and Posts: Big Fish Blog

Settings in Theme Options: Homepage/frontpage
Only posts that belong to the categories selected here will be displayed on the front page
Select Categories – ShowOnFrontPage
Checked to enable Latest Posts on Static Frontpage

For some reason, my homepage is showing all of the blogs, the Page where all of the blogs should be (BIG FISH BLOG) is showing only 2, and they aren’t even categorized as “ShowOnFrontPage”

@tammysue: You seem to be using Elementor Plugin to display those posts. Maybe that is the reason the select category post is not showing of on your homepage. I will need your WP Admin Credentials to further debug the issue.

I want to know how to increase excerpt limit on the homepage and also show links that on the homepage that are added inside blog posts.
