I’d like to make some design changes to the site.For example:

1. The way the main nav bar looks (would like thin lines out lining it with white in the middle)

2. The way my images show up on Mobile home page. I would like the image, title positon and ratio to match my home page.(not the navigation – that can stay the same)

3. The font type in different places. I’ve tried to get google fonts working but no luck. Regardless though I would like to have more specific location option choices such as: widget fonts

4. Assign different layouts to different pages. ex. category pages have a different layout than home page. Post pages may have a different layout as well. Home page is different then them both.

5. Add shadows to the front left corner of certain widgets.

6. Add lines between posts both on the post area and the sidebar post listings.

Can I just hire a developer for these sort of changes or do I have to get another theme?

ALSO, I would need to put the main nav just right of a smaller left aligned logo. So, it will be in the header.

No, you do not have to get another theme, you can just hire a developer for the above customization for your site.
