Hey Sakin,

Can you take me while supporting the theme to a new version to update?

Of course I want the existing settings ..but the use of Child Themes unfortunately I do not understand ..

@mydreamin: There is nothing to worry about updating Catch Base free theme. All your settings, custom css and content will be safe. You don’t need to use Child theme unless you are doing advance customization like adding/editing functions.

Note: Don’t edit/add any files inside ‘catch-base’ theme directory. As when you update the theme, all the files inside ‘catch-base’ theme directory will be reverted back to original.

I don’t be sure if i edited some files with margin etc.. thats the problem 🙁

@mydreamin: Oh then it will be problem That is why we always say don’t edit theme files. For any css changes, you can use “Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Custom CSS Options” box or build child them and add it in your child theme style.css. These css are safe for update.
