I updated to the latest version of Helena Pro today and there is no static page option in the theme customization. I am using a child theme.

The option is gone, as in, it does not appear at all. Normally the option appears in the Customizer after Widgets and before Theme Options. It is now totally gone.

To clarify, this is the option to display a static page/post on your front page instead of your latest posts.

Hi @F,

Maybe there is some plugin conflict. I checked on my end and that feature is working fine. It is provided by core WordPress rather than our theme so we wont be able to remove it.

Also, same option is present in Dashboard=> Settings=> Reading

Let me know if the settings are there or not.

That’s the weird thing, the option for a static front page is not available in Dashboard=> Settings=> Reading either. It’s like it just disappeared, not just from Helena Pro customization options, but from WP as well.

Also, this is a brand new WP install, so I haven’t loaded any themes other than the typical ones, like Akismet. I will do some investigating to try to see where the issue lies.

Hi Pratik,

I figured this out. This was a brand new WP install and, while I had created lots of posts, I had not yet created a page. The static front page option does not even show anywhere until you have created at least one page.

🙂 Yes, if there are no pages, then there will be no static page option.
