    Hi,

    we are developing a website using Fotografie Pro which can be seen here:
    https://sandbox.woodquist.co.uk/acproperty/

    what I would like to be able to do is to add a widget area in the header, directly below the main menu. I am comfortable creating a child theme. Is this possible?

    @woodquist: A lot of customization is required to do that. I suggest you to hire a customizer for that purpose.
