    I have a featured image on my posts and I do not place one in the excerpt, but still I get two images when using the “read more.” I do not have the ability to change anything by coding as I am illiterate when it comes to programming languages of any sort.

    If you go to either “the Christian” or “the world” pages and click on the “read more” at the end of an excerpt, you will get the full post with two images. I must have separate category posts as I do not want different categories of posts appearing on the same page.

    I do not want the full post without the image either.

    @thepilgrim1938gmx-com: So you have set featured image and an image in the content too, that is why two images are being displayed in single page. But this can be avoided, so that only one image will be displayed. Go to Dashboard=> Appearance=> Customize=> Theme Options=> Layout Option and select Disable in Single Page/Post Image Layout option. Then click Save & Publish.
