A new version of WordPress, WordPress 5.8 “Tatum” was released on July 20, 2021. The release included so many new features and enhancements. WordPress sites are steadily updating to the newer version of WordPress. Likewise, we’re also ready for the new update. Catch Themes is WordPress 5.8 Ready!
The newly released WordPress version included many crucial updates and changes. For instance, new blocks and patterns, block widgets in both editor and customizer, duotone media filters, new emoji support, post templates edit, an overview of the page structure, suggested patterns for blocks, style and colorize images, WebP image format support, plugins enhancements, rest API changes, site health updates, support dropped for IE11, and many more.

We’d been staying up-to-date and preparing ourselves for the 5.8 release since its inception. Since the release is here, we’re very happy to present you with our updated WordPress Themes.
We have made sure that all of our WordPress Themes (both Free and Pro) are completely compatible with WordPress 5.8. You will not face any difficulties or issues with our themes after upgrading to WordPress 5.8. However, you need to make sure you are running the latest update from us.

For those who are not yet ready for the change and want the classic old-style editor, you can download the Classic Editor Plugin for free. Also if you’re not a great fan of the widgets setting screen after updating to WordPress 5.8, you can activate the Classic Widget Plugin and switch to the classic widget screen like before.

Since the new version includes several major changes, it is sure that thousands of themes and plugins are not compatible and might bring issues to your website. So, we recommend that you do not run the update directly on your production site. Instead, consider setting up a test site to play around with the newest version first. And if everything seems fine for you then you can go to your main site.
