Catch Updater is a simple and lightweight WordPress Theme and Plugin Updater Plugin, which enables you to update Premium WordPress Themes and Premium WordPress Plugins easily using WordPress Admin Panel. Now, you can simple upload your Pro/Premium WordPress theme/plugin new version zip file from Theme Installer “Appearance => Themes => Add New => Upload” and “Plugins => Add New => Upload Plugin”. You also get an option to backup your existing theme while updating to latest version. No more hassle of deleting the theme/plugin and uploading new one.

Plugin Instructions
Installation
a)Using the WordPress Administration Panel
- Click on “Get It Now” button at the top of the page, then click on “Checkout” button
- You will be directed to checkout page where you have to do a free purchase for that you need to login by filling up your personal information in the form and finally get your plugin by clicking on “FREE DOWNLOAD” button
- Go to “Plugins => Add New => Uploads” from your WordPress Dashboard
- Click on Browse and select the plugin zip file
- Click on “Install Now” and then “Activate”
- Installation Completed. Now you can upload the Theme’s and Plugin’s latest version zip file from “Appearance => Themes => Add New => Upload” and “Plugins => Add New => Upload Plugin” respectively.
b)Manual Installation using FTP
- Click on “Get It Now” button at the top of the page, then click on “Checkout” button
- You will be directed to checkout page where you have to do a free purchase for that you need to login by filling up your personal information in the form and finally get your plugin by clicking on “FREE DOWNLOAD” button
- Then extract the zip file (catch-updater.zip) that you have downloaded
- Using an FTP client to access your host web server. Go to /wp-content/plugins/ and upload the “catch-updater” folder
- Then go to “Plugins” in your WordPress Admin Panel and click on “Activate”
- Installation Completed. Now you can upload the Theme’s and Plugin’s latest version zip file from “Appearance => Themes => Add New => Upload” and “Plugins => Add New => Upload Plugin” respectively.
Updating Pro/Premium Themes
- Download your theme’s latest version zip file
- Log into your WordPress site
- Go to “Appearance => Themes => Add New => Upload Theme”
- Browse the zip file with the new theme version to install
- Click “Install Now” and your theme will update to latest version and will create backup of your existing theme in Media Library
Note: In Step 4, you can click on “More Options” to change the settings like: Updating Existing Theme, Create Backup and Message to display.
Updating Pro/Premium Plugins
- Download your plugin’s latest version zip file
- Log into your WordPress site
- Go to “Plugins => Add New => Upload Plugin”
- Browse the zip file with the new theme version to install
- Click “Install Now” and your plugin will update to latest version
Process of update
- If create backup is selected as yes, a backup zip of the existing theme will be created and added to the Media Library
- If the selected theme is active, the site will display given message until the update has finished. This typically lasts a few seconds at most.
- The existing theme directory will be deleted in order for the installer to install the new version.
- The theme installer will install the new theme.
- The site update message will be removed from the site.
