The manner in which meals are prepared in the home can effect the nutritional outcome of foods greatly. Avoid adding extra fat and grease to your food by opting to boil or steam the food, rather than frying food with butter and grease. All a person needs to do is make those healthy choices. Natural foods are best. Processed food isn't good for you. Instead eat fresh, raw produce and lean proteins. If you think you could be tempted to purchase processed foods at the supermarket, avoid isles that contain these foods. Keep your serving sizes down to the handfuls. If you can keep your snacks in a one hand sized portion and your meals in a two hand filled portion, you are sure to find it easier to serve yourself healthy portions of food.
