Widget besides featured slider possible?

Hi there, I'm looking for a way to place a widget (e.g. simple text box) besides the Featured Slider (horizontally aligned). Is this even possible within the Catch Responsive Theme? All layout options of the theme (Customizing->Theme Options->Layou Options) seem to refer on the area beneath the Featured Slider. Any hint is highly appreciated!
