what’s trending for pages by category

Hello, I made two categories for pages. After that I tried to link this category with pages to what’s trending. This failed. Thereafter I tried to link one page to a post-category. The website did not display the page. Question: doesn’t what’s trending not work with pages? And if this is so: is there a solution for it to make this happen? Kind regards Hans Hagmeijer
