What are the benefits of using Free WordPress theme?

Hey there! I'm wondering about as it good practice to use free theme on commercial blog site or not? As i used geneses them on my review based gold ira related site. And now want to start another blog but want it with free one. Can I go with free option or paid? Thank you!!!
