Upgrading from 2.8 to 3.4 Catch Evolution Pro

I currently have Catch Evolution Pro 2.8 on my website (TheresaBoedeker.com). I notice that version 3.4 is available. Should I pay the about $49.00 to upgrade? What would be the advantages, or disadvantages? Do people usually update to a newer version, or do they stay with their installed version for several years or until they choose themes. My site has been up and running only less than a year. Just wondering about upgrading? Thank you, Theresa
