Unable to change color of some page elements

I'm currently using the Globetrotter theme, but I've found I'm unable to change certain elements from the default orange. I would like to change the social media icons, in the header, where a mouse hover over causes them to turn orange, and the footer, where they are always orange. I would also like to change various other things like buttons that turn orange when you hover over them. Bullet points. Rules or lines. These all seem to remain orange no matter what settings I apply. Please advise. I appreciate your assistance.
