tweaking the sliding header

Not sure I need a tweak or if the utility is already available. I am working in Simple catch and want the header images to work as a slider , but I do not want them to have any association with posts. That is I want sliding header images that have no relationship with specific posts.Can I do this? Thanks, Jim
